Summary

An area of ridged cultivation marks on the east side of Colehill Lane is visible on 1940s aerial photographs. The features are considered to be possible medieval ridge and furrow. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

Full Description

An area of ridged cultivation marks on the east side of Colehill Lane is visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1 and 2). The features comprise parallel ridges set 6m apart with 1.3m wide ditches in between, suggesting probable medieval ridge and furrow. The features are no longer visible on current Google Earth imagery. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
