Two ditched linear features in a field to the north of Stone Farm are visible on 1940s aerial photographs. The features may be historic field boundaries of possible post medieval date, although they may have a dual function as drainage ditches, possibly as part of a more extensive drainage system (see MDO40848). The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

Two ditched linear features in a field to the north of Stone Farm are visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1).
The features comprise two narrow parallel ditches that are sub-divide an irregular historic enclosure recorded on the OS 1st Edition map, whose boundaries are potentially medieval in origin (2). The River Allen borders to the east. The features may be historic field boundaries of possible post medieval date, although they may have a dual function as drainage ditches, possibly as part of a more extensive drainage system (see MDO40848).
The site is still open fields on current Google Earth imagery and the features are still faintly visible. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
