Summary
A low flat-topped curvilinear terrace to the south of High Hall is visible on 1940s aerial photographs and current Lidar imagery. The feature may be a landscape garden feature of possible post medieval or early modern date. It was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

Full Description
A low flat-topped curvilinear terrace to the south of High Hall is visible on 1940s aerial photographs and current Lidar imagery (1 and 2).
The feature comprises a flat terrace 70m wide by 35m deep with an outward curve on its south side which respects a low natural hill on which High Hall is sited. The terrace appears to be artificial and may be a landscape garden feature of possible post medieval or early modern date.
The site is still open ground on current Google Earth imagery and the feature remains visible. It was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
