Full Description
A ditched linear feature to the southeast of Bothenwood is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs (1).
The feature is narrow and curvilinear in form. It crosses from south to north a large irregular historic enclosure recorded on the OS 1st Edition map (2). At its northern end it appears to correspond with a small square enclosure or possible building (a field barn ?) that is also recorded on the OS 1st Edition map; the plot of this small enclosure or building is also visible as a cropmark in 1995 (1). The feature is presumed to be a historic trackway of probable post medieval date.
It was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
