Full Description
Ditched linear features to the southeast of Wood End are visible on aerial photographs (1).
The features are narrow and rectilinear in form. A groupof four ditched linears are situated parallel to each other at around 22m apart, with a further ditched linear to the west of the same form and on the same alignment. The features sub-divide a narrow irregular historic enclosure recorded on the OS 1st Edition map (2). They are considered likely to be historic field boundaries of probable post medieval date.
The site is still a field on current Google Earth imagery and the features remain faintly visible. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
