Summary

A ditched curvilinear feature to the west of Wood End is visible on aerial photographs. The feature is presumed to be a post medieval trackway. It was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

Full Description

A ditched curvilinear feature to the west of Wood End is visible on aerial photographs (1). The feature comprises a curvilinear ditch that extends west from the west edge of Rabbits Copse across the centre of an irregular historic enclosures= recorded on the OS 1st Edition map (2). The feature is presumed to be a post medieval trackway. The site is still fields on current Google Earth imagery but with some boundary removal since the 1940s (1). The fields are ploughed and cropped and the feature is no longer visible. It was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
