Full Description
A banked linear feature to the south of Pilford Farm is visible on aerial photographs (1).
The feature is situated within an irregular historic enclosure recorded on the OS 1st Edition map, 41m from and parallel to its eastern boundary, which is straight and rectilinear in form and therefore likely to be post medieval in date (2).
The feature is considered likely to also be a post medieval field boundary.
The site is still fields on current Google Earth imagery and the feature is still faintly visible. It was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
