Summary
Ditched linear features on the open heath to the northwest of Rowe Hill Farm are visible on 1940s aerial photographs. The features are presumed to be historic field boundaries of probable post medieval date, although an earlier origin is possible. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

Full Description
Ditched linear features on the open heath to the northwest of Rowe Hill Farm are visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1).
The features are narrow and rectilinear in form and they sub-divide a number of irregular historic enclosures recorded on the OS 1st Edition map and whose boundaries potetnially include some of medieval origin (2).
The features are presumed to be historic field boundaries of probable post medieval date, although an earlier origin is possible.
The site is still open fields on current Google Earth imagery but the majority of features are no longer visible. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
