Summary
A line of anti tank cubes on the west side of Legg Lane is visible on 1940's aerial photographs. The features may have formed part of a wartime defence line; additional rows of anti tank cubes are visible to the west, south and southeast. The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

Full Description
A line of anti tank cubes on the west side of Legg Lane, Wimborne Minster, is visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1).
The features comprise a 22m row of anti tank cubes positioned along the line of garden plots on the west side of Legg Lane opposite a piece of open ground on the opposite side of the road. The features may be part of a wartime defence line around Wimborne Minster ; additional rows of anti tank cubes are visible on 1940s aerial photographs to the west, south and southeast (see MDOs 41027-32.)
The site is a modern retail premises on current Google Earth imagery and the features are no longer visible. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.
