Full Description

Ditched linear features at Dawson's Hole are visible on aerial photographs (1). The features are narrow and retilinear in form and comprise one long east to west aligned linear ditch with a number of shorter linears offsetting this. Additional linears to the west adjoin the south side of the main Stour river channel. The features are presumed to be part of a post medieval drainage system. The site is still open ground on current Google Earth imagery but the features are no longer visible. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.
