Ditched linear features to the west of Poole Road, Wimborne Minster, are visible on aerial photographs (1).
The features are narrow and retilinear in form and comprise a number of longer ditched linears with shorter linears offsetting these. The features are situated within historic enclosures on the east bank of the River Allan between the main river channel and Poole Road.
The features are presumed to be part of a post medieval drainage system.
The site is still open ground on current Google Earth imagery and the features are still visible. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.
