Summary

Ditched linear features on heathland to the south of Canford Magna are visible on 1940s aerial photographs. The features are presumed to be historic trackways of probable post medieval to early modern date. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

Ditched linear features on heathland to the south of Canford Magna are visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1). The features are presumed to be historic trackways, probably of post medieval to early modern date. The site is still open heath and partial tree cover on current Google Earth imagery and the features are still faintly visible in places. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.
