Full Description
Multiple series of ditched linear trackways on the northeast side of Knighton Heath are visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1).
The features comprise multiple ditched linears of various lengths that parallel to each other or at converging angles. In 1946 they are situated on the northeast edges of Knighton Golf Club but are not fresh features at this time and therefore probably date to when this area was still open heathland, suggesting a probable post medieval origin.
The site is under modern housing development on current Google Earth imagery and the features are no longer visible. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.
