Full Description
A banked linear feature to the northeast of Knighton House is visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1).
The features comprises a short section of narrow curvilinear bank that encloses a small projection of land formed by a curve in the Stour River. The curvilinear form of the feature suggests a historic field boundary of possible medieval date, although a later origin is also possible.
The feature is still visible on a 2014 aerial photograph (2). It was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
