Summary
Ditched linear features in fields to the south of Hampreston are visible on 1940s aerial photographs. The features are presumed to be post medieval drainage ditches. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

Full Description
Ditched linear features in fields to the south of Hampreston are visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1).
The features are narrow and rectilinear in form and appear to link in to large post medieval drainage channels recorded on the OS 1st Edition map (2) or extend towards the river's edge. The features are presumed to be post medieval drainage ditches.
The site is still fields on current Google Earth imagery but the features are no longer visible. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
