Full Description
Banked and ditched linear features on the east side of Coneygar Lane are visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1).
The features are narrow and rectilinear in form and they appear to sub-divide irregular historic enclosures recorded on the OS 1st Edition map whose curvilinear boundaries may be medieval in origin (2). The features are considered likely to be historic field boundaries of probable post medieval date, although an earlier origin is possible.
The site is largely under trees on current Google Earth imagery and the features are no longer visible. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
