Full Description
ST76902295. Roman brooch fom Kington Magna. Whilst an exact parallel cannot be quoted, this brooch must be related to a group of hinged brooches with side wings at the top of the bow, most of which have been found in the Dorset-Somerset area. Many of these have chevron mouldings or a crested ridge in the centre of the bow, and this connects them with brooches of 'Polden Hill' construction and usually dated to the C1st AD. <1>
