Summary

Full Description
An area of ridged and ditched cultivation marks to the northwest of Kinson Manor Farm is visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1).
The features comprise parallel regular ridges spaced approximately 1.6m apart with 0.5m wide ditches in between. The features occupy the west side of an irregular historic enclosure recorded on the OS 1st Edition map and are bordered on their east side by a historic trackway or field boundary of probable post medieval date (MDO41356).
The features may be those of post medieval narrow ridge and furrow.
The site is still field on Google Earth imagery but the features are no longer visible under scrub. They were digitally plotted from 1940s aerial photographs by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
