Banked curvilinear features to the northeast of Henbury House, Sturminster Marshall, are visible on current Lidar imagery (1).
The features are broad and slightly sinuous in form. They are situated broadly parallel to one another on a N to SE axis, with one linear perpendicular to the others on a SSW to NNE axis.
The form and organisation of the features suggests historic field boundaries of probable medieval date, possibly an area of medieval strip field.
The features were digitally plotted from current Lidar imagery by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
