Summary
Ditched and banked linear features to the west of Henbury House, Sturminster Marshall, are visible on aerial photographs and current Lidar imagery. The features are considered likely to be historic field boundaries, probably of predominantly post medieval date although an earlier origin for some features is also possible. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

Full Description
Ditched and banked linear features to the west of Henbury House, Sturminster Marshall, are visible on aerial photographs and current Lidar imagery (1-3).
The features are prdominantly narrow and rectilinear in form, with some more curvilinear features in the southeast of the group. The features extend on a broadly SE to NW axis across parkland to the west of Henbury House. They are considered likely to be historic field boundaries, probably of predominantly post medieval date although an earlier origin for some features is also possible.
The site is still open fields on current google Earth imagery although some features are no longer visible. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
