Full Description
A Second World War bomb crater to the east of Lower Barford is visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1).
The feature comprises a sub-circular hollow 11m in diameter, with a surrounding cast up earth bank 1.5m wide.
The site is still open fields on current Google Earth imagery; the feature is still visible as a tree-filled hollow situated at the northeast end of a section of modern field boundary. It was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
