Summary
A substantial banked linear feature on the south side of Corfe Mullen is visible on current Lidar imagery. It extends for 331m on a SSE to NNW alignment and is visible from the west side of Knoll Lane and continuing on both sides of Brickyard Lane. The feature may be a boundary bank of prehistoric origin. Alternatively it may be contemporary with the Roman road (MDO5468) recorded 125m to the north. The feature was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

Full Description
A substantial banked linear feature on the south side of Corfe Mullen is visible on current Lidar imagery (1).
The feature is broad, approximately 15m across. It extends for 331m on a slight SSE to NNW alignment and is visible from the west side of Knoll Lane and continuing on both sides of Brickyard Lane. The feature may be a boundary bank of prehistoric origin. Alternatively it may be contemporary with the Roman road (MDO5468) recorded 125m to the north.
The site is open fields on current Google Earth imagery but the feature is not visible. It was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
