Summary
Banked linear features to the south of Sleight, Corfe Mullen, are visible on current Lidar imagery. The features are presumed to be historic field boundaries, possibly of post medieval date, although an earlier origin is also possible. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

Full Description
Banked linear features to the south of Sleight, Corfe Mullen, are visible on current Lidar imagery (1-2).
The features comprise two sections of N-S aligned curvilinear bank situated at the southwest corner of an irregular historic enclosure recorded on the OS 1st Edition map (3). The features underlie the modern pattern of enclosure and are considered likely to be historic field boundaries, possibly of post medieval date, although their slightly sinuous character may indicate an earlier origin..
The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
