Full Description

Ditched linear features at Corfe Mullen are visible on aerial photographs (1-2). The features are narrow and rectilinear in form and are situated on an area of open ground recorded as heathland on the OS 1st Edition map (3). They are presumed to be post medieval drainage ditches and/or field boundaries. The site is still open ground on current Google Earth imagery and the features are still visible. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
