Summary

A small curvilinear banked feature, 11m across, is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 on the western edge of Holt Heath . The feature appears to be a small enclosure but may be a spoil heap surrounding a small extractive pit. It is considered likely to be of post medieval date and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.

A small curvilinear banked feature, 11m across, is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 on the western edge of Holt Heath (1). The feature appears to be a small enclosure but may be a spoil heap surrounding a small extractive pit. It is considered likely to be of post medieval date and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.
