Summary
An extensive area of early 20th century activity is visible as earthworks and bare earth marks on aerial photographs taken in the 1940's at West Moors. The features possibly of military origin or may relate to stock rearing, they were digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.

Full Description
An extensive area of early 20th century activity is visible as earthworks and bare earth marks on aerial photographs taken in the 1940's at West Moors (1-2). The features extend across and area 660m by 550m across and comprise a regular system of narrow banked or walled enclosures associated with numerous small areas of erosion/bare earth. The features may possibly be of military origin (possibly a temporary camp) or may relate to stock rearing. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.
