Full Description

A probable Bronze Age round barrow to the southwest of New Barn Farm is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (1). The feature comprises a ring ditch approximately 24m in diameter. The ditch itself is approximately 1m wide. A banked linear feature associated with a possible late prehistoric field system (MDO41659) may overlie the north side of the ring ditch; the features are not visible together on the same source so the relationship is not certain. The feature was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
