Full Description
Two curvilinear ditched features to the northwest of New Barn Farm are visible as faint cropmarks on aerial photographs (1).
The sections of ditch are approximately 2.5m wide and are curvilinear in form. If part of a coherent feature they would form a ring ditch approximately 55m in diameter. The features may be those of a large Bronze Age round barrow or alternatively a late prehistoric enclosure, potentially anywhere between Neolithic and Romano-British in date.
The feature was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
