Summary

A probable Bronze Age barrow to the north of New Barn Farm is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs. The feature is one of a close grouping five such features and part of a wider concentration of Bronze Age barrows in the near vicinity. It was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

Full Description

A probable Bronze Age barrow to the north of New Barn Farm is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs (1-2). The feature comprises a central mound approximately 10m in diameter enclosed within an outer ditch approximately 0.8m wide. The feature is one of a close grouping five such features (see MDOS 41676-41680) and part of a wider concentration of Bronze Age barrows in the near vicinity. The feature was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
