Full Description
Linear ditched features to the southeast of New Barn Farm are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (1-2).
The features form a partial three-sided sub-rectangular enclosure 37m by 32m; the east side is not visible but the enclosure directly abuts the west side of a late prehistoric trackway (MDO41686). It is also situated around 50m south of a probable Iron Age to Romano-British settlement (MDO41687) . It is probable that the enclosure is broadly contemporary with these features, most likely Iron Age or Romano-British in date
The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
