Summary

Banked linear features to the east of Barford Farm are visible on current Lidar imagery. The features are considered likely to be historic field boundaries of possible post medieval date, although an earlier origin is also possible. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

Full Description

Banked linear features to the east of Barford Farm are visible on current Lidar imagery (1). The features are broad and rectilinear in form. They sub-divide historic enclosures recorded on the OS 1st Edition map on the same SE-NW alignment (2). The features are considered likely to be historic field boundaries of possible post medieval date, although an earlier origin is also possible. The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
