Full Description
Banked linear features within Kingston Lacy Park are visible on aerial photographs and current Lidar imagery (1-2).
The features are broad and slightly curvilinear in form. They are arranged on a broadly E-W axis on a similar alignment to neighbouring historic field boundaries of probable medieval to post medieval origin. The features are considered likely to also be historic field boundaries of possible medieval to post medieval date, presumably pre-existing the laying out of the ornamental park.
The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
