Summary

The Marl Pit is marked on the OS 1st edition map to the east of Marsh Copse, Pamphill. It is later marked as Tip (disused) on the later 1:10,000 edition mapping. The quarry hollow is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1947 and is still extant. The site was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.

Full Description

The Marl Pit is marked on the OS 1st edition map to the east of Marsh Copse, Pamphill (1). It is later marked as Tip (disused) on the later 1:10,000 edition mapping (2). The quarry hollow is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1947 and is still extant (3). The site was diigitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.
