Summary
A field system of probable prehistoric date is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs on Kings Down. The bank and ditched features cover an area of 20 hectares in the fields surrounding the King Down Barrow Group (MDO5884-7). The field boundaries underlie the modern field pattern and are considered to be of prehistoric in origin, they were digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.

Full Description
A field system of probable prehistoric date is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs on Kings Down (1-4). The bank and ditched features cover an area of 20 hectares in the fields surrounding the King Down Barrow Group (MDO5884-7). The field boundaries underlie the modern field pattern and are considered to be of prehistoric in origin, they were digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.
