Summary
Curvilinear scarped features on the southeast side of Kingston Lacy Park are visible on current Lidar imagery. The features may be associated with post medieval extraction but their linear form may alternatively indicate former field boundaries of possible medieval to post medieval date.The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

Full Description
Curvilinear scarped features on the southeast side of Kingston Lacy Park are visible on current Lidar imagery (1). The features are also faintly visible on a 1947 aerial photograph (2).
The features comprise sections of curvilinear scarps that potentially form te boundaries of small irregular pits or enclosures on the north side of Abbott Street.
The features may be associated with post medieval extraction but their linear form may alternatively indicate former field boundaries or property boundaries of possible medieval to post medieval date.
The features were digitally plotted from current Lidar imagery by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
