A series of irregular scarped hollows on the southeast side of Kingston Lacy Park are visible on current Lidar imagery. The features are considered likely to be post medieval extractive pits. The features are situated either side of a post medieval avenue of oak trees (MDO33174) although it is not clear from the available sources whether the avenue cuts the features or whether the features post date the avenue. The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
