Summary
An irregular ditched hollow to the south of Kingston Lacy Park is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs and on current Lidar imagery. The feature is approximately 34m long by up to 14m wide with two short sections of flanking banks along its southern end. It is considered likely to be a post medieval extractive pit. The feature was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

Full Description
An irregular ditched hollow to the south of Kingston Lacy Park is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs and on current Lidar imagery (1-3). The feature is approximately 34m long by up to 14m wide with two short sections of flanking banks along its southern end. It is considered likely to be a post medieval extractive pit.
The feature was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
