A ditched linear feature at Pamphill Green is visible on aerial photographs. The feature is considered likely to be a historic field boundary of probable medieval origin, although a later date is possible. It was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

A ditched linear feature at Pamphill Green is visible on aerial photographs (1). The feature is narrow and slightly curvilinear in form. It corresponds with adjacent historic field boundaries recorded on the OS 1st Edition map, whose sinuous character indicates a probable medieval origin (2). The northeast end of the linear feature follows the line of a partial historic field boundary recorded on the same map, suggesting that the reminader of the boundary was removed prior to the late 19th century (2). The feature is considered likely to be a historic field boundary of probable medieval origin, although a later date is possible. The site is still open fields on current Google Earth imagery and the feature is still visible. It was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
