Several 'Old Chalk Pits' are marked on the 1st edition 1:25-inch scale Ordnance Survey map along the west-facing slope to the north east of Manor Farm, Wynford Eagle. They are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and were digitally plotted during the Upper Frome and Sydling Valley AIM project.
