A disused chalk pit is marked as 'Pit (disused)' on the Ordnance Survey MasterMap to the southwest of Collin's Wood (now Fore Hill Plantation), Wynford Eagle. The site is one of a small group of rounded hollows visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and was digitally plotted during the Upper Frome and Sydling Valley AIM project.
