A group of rounded hollows is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery on the east-facing slopes to the south of Chammen's Hill, Maiden Newton [1]. They are considered likely to be post medieval chalk pits and were digitally plotted during the Upper Frome and Sydling Valley AIM project.
