An 'Old Chalk Pit' and 'Old Limekiln' are marked on the 1st edition 1:25-inch scale Ordnance Survey map to the west of Northfield Barn, Chilfrome [1]. The chalk pit is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and was digitally plotted during the Upper Frome and Sydling Valley AIM project [2-3].
