Summary
An 'Old Chalk Pit' is shown on the 1st edition 1:25-inch scale Ordnance Survey map to the south east of Kingcombe Coppice, Toller Porcorum. A large chalk pit is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and was digitally plotted during the Upper Frome and Sydling Valley AIM project. It is associated with a number of smaller, presumably contemporary, pits.
