It is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1947 and was digitally plotted during the Upper Frome and Sydling Valley AIM project.

An old chalk pit with associated limekiln is marked on the 1st edition 1:25-inch scale Ordnance Survey map to the east of Barn Hayes Farm, Frome St Quintin [1]. The extractive pit is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs [2-3] and was digitally plotted during the Upper Frome and Sydling Valley AIM project.
