Please read our guidance about the use of Dorset Historic Environment Record data.
Summary
A parish church with elements dating to the 13th century, subsequently much altered and restored. The chancel dates to the early 13th century, and the nave and north aisle to the 14th. The west door to the tower is dated 1534, but it is possible that the tower itself is mid 15th in date. The church was altered in the 17th century and a general restoration was carried out in 1885. The mausoleum which stands north of the church was built in 1857. The church is listed.
