Several 'Old Chalk Pit's are marked on the 1st edition 1:25-inch scale Ordnance Survey map to the west of Burl Farm, Evershot. They are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 and were digitally plotted during the Upper Frome and Sydling Valley AIM project.

Full Description
Several 'Old Chalk Pit's are marked on the 1st edition 1:25-inch scale Ordnance Survey map to the west of Burl Farm, Evershot [1]. They are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 [1] and were digitally plotted during the Upper Frome and Sydling Valley AIM project. They are part of a wider group of small pits scattered across several fields, many of which have since been ploughg-levelled [3]
