An 'Old Chalk Pit' is marked on the 1st edition 1:25-inch scale Ordnance Survey map to the north of Horsey Knap, Evershott [1]. It is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 [2] and was one of three pits digitally plotted during the Upper Frome and Sydling Valley AIM project.
