A pit shown on the 1st epoch 1:25-inch scale map, on which it is described as 'Old Chalk Pit'. The feature is visible as a tree-filled hollow on 1940s aerial photographs and was digitally plotted from these sources during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project [2]. The feature is still visible on Jan 2022 Google Earth imagery [3].
