A pit shown on the 1st epoch 1:25-inch scale map, on which it is described as 'Sand Pit'. The feature is visible as a tree-filled hollow on 1940s aerial photographs and was digitally plotted from these sources during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project. It is no longer visible on 2021 APGB imagery, having been removed by alterations to the field entrance [3].
