Fragments of a probable medieval strip field system with associated ridge and furrow are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs to the north of Higher Wraxall. The features were digitally plotted during the Upper Frome and Sydling Valley AIM project.

Full Description
Fragments of a probable medieval strip field system are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1970 in the vicinity of Wagtail Farm, Higher Wraxall [1]. The strip fields are 20-25m wide and are orientated NW-SE. They were were digitally plotted during the Upper Frome and Sydling Valley AIM project and are still visible although plough-levelled on Google Earth imagery [2].
